    We are seeking a part-time Health and Safety person to join our growing team. The role involves:
    • Being a key driver for all things health and safety in a manufacturing environment
    • Maintaining company systems and policies to ensure they stay up to date and fully compliant
    • Championing health and safety initiatives internally, gaining buy-in and ensuring actions are followed through and policies complied with
    • Staying up to date with health and safety legislation and running "toolbox talks" and training sessions to upskill the wider team
    • Risk assessments and other HASNO tasks and compliance duties
    As well as experience in the areas above, the ideal person will have:
    • experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment
    • a basic understanding of chemistry (would be an advantage)
    • HSE certification, although training can be provided
    • experience in leading health and safety initiatives and proactively influencing a team to comply with policies and procedures
    • exceptional skills in written and verbal communication, time management, attention to detail/accuracy, problem solving and of course a "can do" attitude
    • the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously, as well as work effectively as part of a small happy team
    • a minimum of intermediate level computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite
